So it’s been a year (almost to the day) since I made my “new member” introduction after having just received the body and chassis for my build, and now I’ve finally got the rolling chassis and powertrain finished. This has taken a lot longer than I imagined because I wound up having to make my own headers (not something I had planned to do) for an under-car exhaust system, and I’m not much of a metal fabricator so that’s been both a challenge and learning experience. Also did some custom engine mounts. But, it’s done now and I’m ready to put the body on it and work on outfitting that. I’m enjoying the build process, it gives me something to do and allows me to be creative, but I’m also ready to be driving it!

Looking good to me. Keep plugging along and it will be finished before you know it.

Making some progress! The body is permanently mounted on the frame now. Doors, pedals, fuel tank and lights all mounted. Latches on the bonnet and boot. I’ve got the steering column mounted where I want it so now I can start working on the dash layout.

Building your own car will take many twists and turns but the sence of achievement is something you will always live with. Cheers Chris
