Dear All,
I am still reliving the good times from the just concluded 2023 Spring Meet.
After 15 TCC Spring Meets, some of the usual haunts have become a little old hat… but this year saw some new milestones for me:
- completed the southernmost travel so far in the Cobra (Indianola Beach, LaSalle’s Monument)
- toured Presidio la Bahia, site of Col Fannin’s defeat and the Goliad Massacre (Palm Sunday, 1836)
- visited Street Dreams Vintage Car Museum and Shop
- stopped by the Cartoon Saloon in Toonstone
- crested 30,000 miles on the Cobra during the meet
- experienced my first full rain-out day (Thursday)
- sat under the Oak Tree at the Albert Ice House; the tree is estimated to be over 500 years old
- enjoyed the Texas Monthly Cover Hamburger at Alamo Springs Cafe
What stands out in your mind?
