Tail of the Dragon

On my to do list is to drive the Tail of the Dragon in my Cobra. Potentially in 2027. I'm starting to try to work on the logistics of getting there as my lovely wife does not want to drive all the way to E. TN. We would fly into probably Knoxville and rent a car to get to our final destination. My first two questions are:

1) Can someone recommend an enclosed transfer service
2) If you have done this before where did you stay that is in close proximity to the dragon

I'm looking at May or June of 27 doing it during the week.

Any other pointers or suggestions would be welcome.

Hi,
I recently moved to Frisco from South Florida, and the South Florida Cobra Club did the tail as a group last year and had a blast! I would love to get a group from Texas together to meet up with my Florida family and do the tail again!

To answer your questions -
1. Autobox Express - Johnny 630-215-6646 - Tell him that you were referred by Carl from South Florida because of the great job he did for the club last year. He was recommended to me by the Porsche club that often does the trip.
2. We stayed at the Fontana Village Resort, NC. The enclosed trailer was able to pick up and drop off the cars there.

If you are on Facebook, look up the Georgia Cobra Club or Billy Godfrey. He has a group that will be doing the Dragon with their club pretty soon.
